6. Newsletter / Job Alert Registration

6.1 General

The newsletter/job alert service offered on this website is also a core product of TalentAlert that we provide to other companies. Companies can integrate our system into their career pages to inform applicants about new job openings. On this website, registration is for our own newsletter. On our clients' pages, the same service is provided on their behalf. In this case, the respective company is responsible for data processing, and we act as a data processor according to Art. 28 GDPR.

6.2 Data Collected

During registration, the email address is collected as a mandatory field. Additionally, other data may be requested in the registration form as defined by the respective employer. This may include:

  • Location
  • Desired job categories
  • Links to professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn, Xing)

Whether this information is voluntary or mandatory is determined by the respective company. The collected data is made available to the respective employer. They have access to the transmitted information (e.g., selected categories or provided profiles) and can use it both for automated job alert sending and for individual contact within the recruiting process – e.g., for invitations to specific positions or follow-up questions. In case of providing social profiles (e.g., LinkedIn/Xing), the company can also contact applicants directly via the respective network or email.

6.3 Data Storage

Data collected through newsletter/job alert registration is stored exclusively on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany.

6.4 Double Opt-In & Unsubscription

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email (double opt-in). If registration is not confirmed within 24 hours, the data will be automatically deleted. Unsubscription is possible at any time with one click via the unsubscribe button in each email.

6.5 Email Delivery

For email delivery, we use Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), operated by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, German branch, Marcel-Breuer-Straße 12, 80807 Munich. SES serves exclusively as a technical delivery service provider. The data remains with us (Hetzner) and is not permanently stored by Amazon. Processing occurs exclusively on servers within the European Union. We have a data processing agreement with Amazon according to Art. 28 GDPR.

6.6 Tracking & Analytics

To optimize our service, we track whether and when emails are opened and which links are clicked. This analysis is conducted on a personal basis and serves to improve our offering. The analysis can be ended at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

7. Analytics Tools

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies and processes only anonymized usage data (e.g., page views, referrers, device types). Individual visitor identification is not possible. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
